Menyedihkan memang, tapi itulah kenyataannya," sambung Syaikh Awlaki.

Ia membeberkan sejumlah pemberitaan media massa yang terkesan mencemooh sikap Muslim AS yang ikut terhanyut dalam euforia pemilu presiden di AS tanpa bersikap kritis. Surat kabar Guardian terbitan Inggris misalnya, menulis bahwa Muslim AS "diasingkan" dalam pemilu presiden. Surat kabar lain membuat judul yang serupa, "Muslim AS yang terasing: Pertama Mendukung Bush, Sekarang Mendukung Demokrat." Harian The Australian menulis,"Tak satupun kampanye yang melirik suara Muslim AS" dan tak satupun kandidat presiden AS yang mengunjungi masjid.

Menurutnya, Muslim AS telah memberikan suara gratis pada para kandidat presiden AS.

Why has the Muslim world failed to develop?

The Muslim world with its vast resources continues to generate much interest among economists, thinkers and policy makers. The Muslim world since the end of the Uthmani Khilafah has had its borders drawn and redrawn after various powers interfered in the running of its affairs. The Muslim world includes the Arabian Peninsula, Turkey, North Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the south eastern countries of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Development economics is a branch of economics, which deals with how simple forms of organisation can transfer to complex forms of organisation and production. Development is seen as the ability to increase production without any consideration applied to its distribution. Economists do make a distinction between growth and development - growth is seen as more of the same goods and services whilst development is the structural and technological infrastructure behind the production. In terms of GDP, the measurement used to calculate the value of total production of goods and services, the Muslim world is second only to China with growth rates of 7% in some countries. These are growth rates most European countries would be proud of. However reading between the figures reveals many problems.

If we define development as the building of the necessary infrastructure to fulfil the basic needs of the people such as food, clothing, shelter, security and education, here the Muslim worlds comes in at the bottom of the list. Wealth in the Muslim world suffers from huge misdistribution.

The Middle East for example relies heavily upon oil revenue's therefore it is affected greatly by changes in oil prices. Very little oil revenue actually trickles down to the population but rather ends up in US bank accounts. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud of the Saudi monarchy is valued at over $20 billion with half of his wealth invested in the US.

In the Arab world one in five Arabs still live on less than $2 a day. And, over the past 20 years, growth in income per head, at an annual rate of 0.5%, was lower than anywhere else in the world except sub-Saharan Africa.

In Pakistan 40% of land is in the hands of 23 families.

Government investment in infrastructure and public services is minimal considering the large population of the Muslim world.

The Muslim world's elections are at best a farce, with autocratic kings and presidents only rescinding their authority when they die.

Half of the Muslim world is treated as lesser legal and economic beings, and more than half the young, burdened by joblessness and un-Islamic economic policies want to get out of their country as soon as they can.

The role of the IMF and World Bank in countries such as Pakistan, Turkey, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Egypt has directly aided some of the underlying economic problems. The general solution provided by such institutions is the engaging of trade to climb out of poverty and for development. In reality there are a number of obstacles placed by the developed nations that ensure developing nations will never reach a level where they can compete. What this actually means is that Western goods should be imported rather than allow imports from poorer countries. The theory is that only via trade will nations pull themselves out of poverty. Whilst encouraging the third world to lower their market barriers such as tariffs and quotas on various goods, the Western nations do not do the same for their markets. Western economies have not been developed by such subscribed policy, as outlined by Dr Ha Joon Chang in his book "Kicking away the ladder." The continued failure of the World trade organisation clearly shows the unwillingness by Europe and the US to lower its trade barriers whilst at the same time lobbying India and China to remove their barriers.

This situation in the Muslim world stems from the colonial era and is summed up best by David Fromkin, Professor and expert on Economic History at the University of Chicago: "Massive amounts of the wealth of the old Ottoman Empire were now claimed by the victors. But one must remember that the Islamic empire had tried for centuries to conquer Christian Europe and the power brokers deciding the fate of those defeated people were naturally determined that these countries should never be able to organize and threaten Western interests again. With centuries of mercantilist experience, Britain and France created small, unstable states whose rulers needed their support to stay in power. The development and trade of these states were controlled and they were meant never again to be a threat to the West. These external powers then made contracts with their puppets to buy Arab resources cheaply, making the feudal elite enormously wealthy while leaving most citizens in poverty."

The absence of any organised way of generating wealth and allocating wealth has created a situation where everyone in the Muslim world needs to fend for themselves and attempt to make the best out of a chaotic situation. This just compounds the problem further as many resort to bribery, stealing and fraud to make ends meet. This shows that the people in the Muslim world are not inherently corrupt or born to steal, rather as can be seen with the Gulf States many Muslims when given the opportunities are hard working and can be relied upon.

The question that really needs to be answered is where we begin to develop the Muslim world. The Muslim world fails in applying a set of consistent polices and this has resulted in such nations being unable to unify the populace on the direction of the economy. Many policies by the rulers are time specific or usually motivated by the political climate of the time. The unfortunate result of this is that a whole host of contradictory policies are applied within the Muslim world and hence the nation doesn't move in the same direction. Although Pakistan has the worlds largest untapped coal reserves it imports over 2 million tonnes of coal a year to meet its energy needs. Across the Muslim world there exist manufacturing companies and mining companies. However the contract to mine the Muslims world's precious resources always go to foreign companies.

The development of the Soviet Union is a good example of how consistent polices lead to development. Socialism emerged as a very powerful force across Europe and many were attracted to it after witnessing the wide disparities in wealth distribution in Capitalist nations. The Communists after gaining power due to the failures of the Tzar set about implementing a five year plan starting in 1928, in order to build a heavy industrial base.

The five year plan was a list of economic goals that was designed to strengthen the USSR's economy between 1928 and 1932, making the nation both militarily and industrially self-sufficient. The five year plan was to harness all economic activity to the systematic development of heavy industry, thereby transforming the Soviet Union from a primitive agrarian country into a leading industrial and military power. Carrying the plan out, the Stalin government poured resources into the production of coal, iron, steel, railway equipment, and machine tools. Whole new cities, such as Magnitogorsk in the Urals, were built with enthusiastic participation of young workers and intellectuals. This ambitious plan fostered a sense of mission and helped mobilise support for the regime. The Soviet Union played a direct role in the defeat of Hitler in World War 2 - which launched the Soviet Union to superpower status.

Islam is the only common denominator between everyone in the Muslim world. Islam has a glorious history in the region and propelled the Muslims from the deserts of Arabia to the far reaches of the earth. Therefore this would be the place to begin deriving economic policies for the Muslim world. These policies would be accepted by all Muslims as they are from Islam and would actually bring confidence in the Islamic rules once people see they can work.

Practically this means that Islam should be applied in the Muslim world and Islam's polices on trade, ownership, companies, public finance, investment, currency and poverty elimination would need to all be applied. The derivation of such polices from the same foundations would ensure no contradictions occur as they are all coming from the same basis. All foreign policies from Socialism, the Capitalist free markets, Nasserism, Kemalism and any other ‘ism' should be removed as these have proven to be failures.

What Muslims can expect from Obama??‏

Dear all, Assalamualikum,
When Barak (Hossain??) Obama came with the slogan "CHANGE", not only the non-Muslims in America, but also many Muslims inside and outside America were very hopeful about the future FOREIGN POLICY of America with Muslim world. I think, they are still hoping for a significant Change and hoping for the end of WAR ON TERROR, end of invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc, hoping for end of the tyranny of Mr.Bush. But, what is the real picture? What will his foreign policy with Muslim lands? In recent times in his several speeches Obama already declared that what is waiting for us in future? These are as follows:
Obama on Friendship with Israel:
"I know when I visited AIPAC( American Israel Public Affairs Committee), I am among friends, good friends. Friends which share my strong commitment to make sure the bond between United States and Israel is unbreakable today, unbreakable tomorrow, unbreakable forever."
Obama on Shared Values with Israel:
"The bond between US and Israel is rooted more than our shared national interest. It is rooted in the shared values and shared stories of our people and as President I'll work with you to ensure that this bond is the strength."
Obama on understanding Zionism & establishment of Israel:
"... and I understood the Zionist idea that there is always a homeland at the center of our story. We know that the establishment of Israel was JUST and NECESSARY, rooted in centuries of struggle and decades of patient work. Sixty years later we know that we can not relent, we can not yield and as President I'll never compromise when it comes to Israel's security."
Obama on Commitment to Israel:
"When I went to Israel flying in a IDF helicopter, I saw narrow beautiful strips of land nestled against the Mediterranean, On the ground, I met a family and saw their house destroyed by Katusha rockets, I spoke to Israeli troops who faced daily threats as they maintain security near the border, I talked to people who want nothing more simple or more illusive than the secure future for their children...(US will always) stood by Israel in the face of all threats. That is a commitment both John McCain and I share because, SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL IN THIS COUNTRY GOES BEYOND PARTY( Democrats or Republican)."
Obama on Middle East:
"Hamas now controls Gaza. Hizbullah is tightened its grip on Southern Lebanon, flexing its muscles in Beirut. Because of war in Iraq, Iran which always posed a greater threat to Israel than Iraq, is emboldened and imposes a greatest strategic challenge to the US and Israel."
Obama refuses to blame Israel:
"And there is one who would lay all the problems of the Middle East on the doorstep of Israel and then support as if Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the root of all trouble in the region. These voices blame Middle only Democracy for the region's extremism. They are for the false promise than abandoning a strong war ally is somehow the path to strength. (But) it is not, It was never been and it never will be."
Obama on ensuring $30billion for Israeli military expenses:
"Our alliance is based on shared interest and shared values. Those who threaten Israel, threaten us....I will bring to the White House an unshakable commitment to Israel's security. That starts with ensuing Israel's qualitative military advance. I will ensure that Israel can defend itself from any threat from Gaza to Tehran.Defense co-operation between Israel and US is a model of success and it must be deepened. As President I will implement memorandum of understanding, that provides 30billion in assistance to Israel over the next decade. Investments to Israel's security that will not be tied to any other nation."
But,What is the Truth?
  • Israel is an illegal state which is established with the help of US and UK.
  • The brutality and massacre of Israeli soldiers towards Palestinians knows no bound.
  • Palestinians are kicked out from their homeland, their houses have been destroyed, occupying Israeli forces are killing innocent civilians including women and children each and everyday.
  • The so called civilized world turned blind eyes to the Palestinians who only desired their HOMELAND, where they born.
  • They want NOTHING MORE SIMPLE, MORE ILLUSIVE THAN SECURE FUTURE for them and their children.
  • Innocent civilians are paying prices for the Israel's economic siege. Unhealthy living conditions, lack of medical supplies and other difficulties by economic embargo affect Palestinian children the most.
  • The Israeli blockade of Gaza has led to a steady rise in chronic malnutrition among the 1.5 million people living in the strip, according to a leaked report from the Red Cross.
  • America ideologically believes in brutality, occupation & invasion and supports the Israel who is nothing but a occupier.
  • All the problems of Middle-Eastern region will be solved when the soldiers of US and her allies will be kicked out and when America will stop interfering in Muslim world.
  • The so called Liberal Democracy, rhetoric of Freedom are the root cause of the problems of Muslim world.
  • The Muslim world now is in desperate need of KHILAFAH and only Khilafah will solve Israel-Palestine conflict, the problem of Kashmir, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bosnia etc.

Dear Muslims, Allah said in Quran,

"O you who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks. They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin. Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths. What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the signs, if you have wisdom." (sura A-li Imran: 118)

So, don't be fool, don't be deceived. Barak Obama is a new face which is more human than Bush or McCain. He will implement the same capitalist colonialist policy what Bush implemented in last 8 years. The Kafiroon will never be our friend and Allah warned us in Quran several times.

So,Believe in the words of Allah and Work for KHILAFAH!!!!

May Allah give us the Proper understanding of Islam. May Allah give us the opportunity to work for the Truth.

Jazakallah Khair.

EmAs DaN PeRaK

Selanjutnya jaksa eksekutor, Asisten Pidana Umum (Aspidum) Kejaksaan Tinggi (Kejati) Bali, I.B. Wiswantanu membacakan surat perintah pelaksanaan eksekusi dengan didampingi jaksa eksekutor lainnya, Kasubsi Prapenuntutan Kejaksaan Negeri Denpasar Edy Arta Wijaya dan Aspidum Kejati Jateng Monang Pardede.

Tepat pukul 23.20 WIB, setelah surat perintah dibacakan, tiga regu tembak segera menembakkan peluru ke arah Amrozi dkk yang masing-masing terikat pada sebuah kayu dengan kepala tertutup kain hitam.

Sepuluh menit kemudian, Amrozi dan kawan-kawan dinyatakan meninggal, setelah menjalani autopsi oleh tim dokter forensik Polda Jawa Tengah.

Program War on Terrorism AS Kembali Bergulir

Sementara itu, Hizbut Tahrir Indonesa dalam pernyataan persnya menyatakan, meragukan bahwa Amrozi cs adalah pelaku utama bom Bali I. Menurut Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, memaksakan mengeksekusi Amrozi cs hanya akan mengalihkan pandangan bahwa seolah merekalah pelaku utama dan sekaligus menutup terungkapnya sang master mind yang pasti terkait dengan program war on terrorism yang digerakkan oleh AS dan sekutunya tadi.

Pemerintah Indonesia tidak boleh terjebak pada apa yang disebut kampanye war on terrrorism yang didengungkan AS karena kampanye ini hanyalah kedok (mask) untuk menutupi maksud sesungguhnya, yakni war on Islam. Mengapa?

BerHaRap BanYak PaDa ObaMa??

Barack Obama: Hope for 'Change' or More of the Same?

After a campaign which witnessed his rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change," Barack Obama is now confronted with the reality of his position and the Capitalist system he inherits and works to advance. A week before Election Day Obama's team was already laying down plans to reduce expectations once elected.

In the actual run up to the elections both McCain and Obama broadly agreed on many policy positions such as a preference for multilateralism, closing Guantanamo bay, and a tougher line with Russia and China. Their biggest differences were the Middle East and specifically Iran and Iraq. Whilst McCain advocated commitment that could last generations, Obama initially spoke about getting out of Iraq and then redeployment.

Obama and his 300 policy advisors divided up into groups by region and issues will now develop detailed policy positions in time for January 20th 2009 when he actually takes office. However, his victory requires him to work with many facts on the ground and many established policies which have evolved over Bush's term of office. Obama's polices will be determined by the facts on the ground and in summary will most likely be as follows:

Middle East peace process

Bush's legacy on the two state solution has been a complete failure. What complicated maters was the emergence of HAMAS and the weakness of the US ally Mahmud Abbas. The two state solution reached a stalemate because Ehud Olmert's government was deeply unpopular and engulfed in numerous scandals. Such instability led to Ehud Olmert stepping down in disgrace and replaced by Tzipi Livni who has been unable to keep together the fragile coalition. She has now been forced to call an election which she will very likely lose to the right wing Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu. All of this has delayed, and will continue to delay, the implementation of the US road map and any final status resolutions.

During the past two years Obama has largely taken positions in support of the hard-line Israeli government, making statements virtually indistinguishable from that of the Bush administration. His primary criticism of Bush's policy towards the conflict has been that the administration has not been engaged enough in the peace process, not that it has backed the right-wing Israeli government on virtually every outstanding issue. Obama maintains he is firmly committed to maintaining strong US-Israel ties, including military and economic aid. He would continue US support for a two-state solution, and has stated that Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel.

Iraq

Barack Obama opposed the war in Iraq from the outset as well as the "surge" strategy and is on record to have said that there is "no military solution". Obama backs the phased withdrawal of US forces - with all troops out of combat operations within 16 months of taking office. Obama opposes the withdrawal of US troops in Iraq in favour of redeployment, i.e. the relocation of US troops from combat zones to training and logistical positions, contingent on the military capability of the Iraqi Army to defeat the resistance. Obama opposes a clearly defined deadline to withdraw US forces from Iraq because US troops in Iraq are essential to pursuing his overall policies in the Middle East, which include military confrontations with Iran, Syria and Southern Lebanon. Obama has increasingly emphasized that most US troops that remain in the area should be "over the horizon," such as in Kuwait, rather than in Iraq itself.

However, Obama has clearly stated that the real war is in Afghanistan and not Iraq. This is why he favours troop withdrawals in Iraq as they will be redeployed to Afghanistan and Pakistan for which the USA currently has an undeclared war.

America has carefully managed the disintegration of Iraq into three distinct entities and will need to maintain almost 70,000 troops. These troops will be stationed in bases scattered throughout Iraq and their function will be to supplement future challenges by China and Russia.

Hence the reality of Obama's stated position is that he is building upon what Bush started.

Afghanistan

Obama's big foreign policy position has been that Bush's Iraq adventure obscured the real threat from Afghanistan and Pakistan, which should be the priority. Obama publicly and repeatedly promised to escalate the US military intervention in Afghanistan, increasing the number of US troops, expanding their operations and engaging in systematic cross-border attacks.

Afghanistan after nearly seven years of war has large swaths of the country still in chaos. This includes the entire area surrounding Kandahar on the Pakistan border in the south, as well as areas on the Pakistan-Tajikistan border in the northeast and other areas on the Turkmenistan border to the northwest.

The US is going to be in Afghanistan for many years to come. The only thing that's going to change in Afghanistan is the objectives. All the indications currently are that the US military and foreign policy establishment have already abandoned the neo-conservative objective of crushing the Taliban and remaking Afghanistan into a functioning democracy. America's Afghanistan policy is falling into the hands of the realists, whose priority is maintaining a tractable and viable client in Kabul, keeping Afghanistan securely inside the US sphere of interest, holding on to a key asset in Central Asia's "great game" of energy resources and pipeline infrastructure.

Already US policy makers have been preparing the grounds for a new Taliban organisation separate from Taliban leader Mullah Omar but loyal to the cause of the Afghan resistance. With a broad international consensus on Afghanistan, the US will now seek to impose a firm hand on the emerging policy process and prepare public opinion that is still mired in the obsolete destruction of the Taliban and al-Qaeda mindset pursued over the past six years at the cost of thousands of lives and tens of billions of dollars. This policy will be replaced with a new policy of a brave new world in which the Taliban enter the government and Afghan democracy goes out the window. All the signs in Afghanistan point towards a settlement with the Taliban and a grand bargain.

Pakistan

The facts on the ground show that Pakistan is America's key theatre of war. Asif Ali Zardari, widower of Benazir Bhutto, co-chairman of the PPP and president of Pakistan, has staked his political fortunes on splitting with the other parties and replacing Pervez Musharraf as America's client in Pakistan. However, hamstrung by unpopular policies, confronted by a ruthless and militant insurgency Zardari appears incapable of delivering the counter-terrorism results in the border areas that America is looking for.

Bush will leave office and handover an expanding global war on terror which now includes Pakistan.

Pakistan is fast becoming an area of operations for the US. The Bush administration has concluded that Pakistan poses the primary obstacle to success in Afghanistan. As long as jihadists can freely infiltrate across the border shared by those two countries, victory in the Afghan war will remain elusive. "We can hunt down and kill extremists as they cross over the border from Pakistan," Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, recently remarked, "But until we ... eliminate the safe havens from which they operate, the enemy will only keep coming."

Members of parliament are particularly angered by recent signals from Washington that it is prepared to talk to the Afghan Taliban, while telling Pakistan that it must fight its Taliban menace.

Obama publicly has declared that his regime will extend the ‘war against terrorism' by systematic, large-scale ground and air attacks on Pakistan, thus escalating the war to include villages, towns and cities deemed sympathetic to the Afghan resistance. All the signs point towards Pakistan becoming the new theatre for US imperial expansion and this is deemed necessary by Obama to win the regional war.

Iran

Barack Obama has made clear his policy for Iran, and during the election campaign was publicly derided by McCain for pandering to the enemy. Obama is for multilateralism and engagement with Iran as he favours "aggressive personal diplomacy" and has said he would meet Iranian leaders without preconditions. He says they would change their behaviour if given incentives to do so. However, this is in reality a continuation of the policies the Bush administration adopted after the Neocon's failed to make a compelling case against Iran.

The US has been engaging with the reformists in the Iranian government who continue to promote US interests in Iran, and neighbouring Afghanistan and Iraq. In Iraq, Tehran continues to extend support to the leader of SCIRI, Ayatollah Hakim and the Badr Brigade who have become the lynchpin of US plans for Southern Iraq. In Afghanistan, Iran runs extensive reconstruction and training programs in Kabul, Herat and Kandahar. This engagement for the US was necessary as without it the US would be in a much worse position than it's already in.

The realists in the Bush administration managed to gain the upper hand and their preferred method of dealing with Iran's nuclear programme was through multilateralism and diplomacy, as opposed to unilateralism and military intervention. Obama has stated he will continue with such a policy, however like the realists he is prepared to use overwhelming force against Iran to occupy its oil and gas fields if needed. The Hawkish comments from Washington to a large extent have been from the Neocons. Obama has promised to attack Iran if it continues to process uranium for its nuclear programs. Joseph Biden spelled out a series of ‘points of conflict' with Iran emphasizing that Obama ‘would respond forcefully'. Obama's senior Middle East advisers include leading Zionists like Dennis Ross, closely linked to the ‘Bipartisan Policy Center', which published a report serving as a blueprint for war with Iran.

With Elections to take place in Iran in 2009, it is widely expected Ahmednijad will lose to a number of reformists due to his poor economic record. With the reformists gaining new ground it is expected Iran and US engagement will grow. However, the hawkish comments will continue to come from Washington.

Economy

Obama will inherit a worldwide map of problems that demand more time, military commitment and money than America can possibly deploy. Obama will also be greeted with the US economy in recession although Obama has been adamant that the recession would not have a serious effect on his plans.

Obama will inherit an economy which is fast becoming the new ‘sick man,' the US national debt stands at $10 trillion, whilst consumer debt stands at $11.4 trillion. The debts of US companies amounts to $18.4 trillion. This makes the US indebted to the tune of $40 trillion. The US imports much more than it exports and as a result it has a trade deficit fast approaching $1 trillion. The financial crisis has exposed the US as more reliant then ever on the likes of China and Japan to continue buying its Bonds and funding its debt.

Obama's policies whether domestic or foreign to a large extent will be determined by the financial crisis. Future federal budgets have already been committed to the financial crisis which Obama cannot change. Bush also committed future budgets to the Iran and Afghan conflict which Obama will not be able to reverse. The US has well and truly spent well beyond its means.

With the US economy going into recession US consumption and spending will all fall which will create a quagmire for Obama. Without increases in consumer spending, the government will have to spend trillions of dollars to restart the economy.

Conclusion

Despite building his campaign around the theme of "change you can believe in," there are serious questions regarding how much real change there would be under Obama.

The core aspect of Obama's vision in essence turns the Bush doctrine on its head. It argues the main problems and threats facing America in the 21st century require a multilateral approach as on its own the US has failed. Hence the US will take a more multilateral approach and work to ensure its interests are maintained through cooperation with other nations rather then going alone.

With a faltering US this represents an opportunity for the Muslim world to free itself from US colonialism. Obama has stated he is prepared to begin conflict with Pakistan but he doesn't explain this, because without full Pakistani cooperation in the Afghan conflict the 70% of military hardware and 40% fuel for the Afghan conflict maybe in jeopardy as they are based in Pakistan. Whilst the US begs the Middle East for money to bail out its ailing banks this would be the right time for Saudi Arabia and the sovereign wealth funds in the Gulf to dump the dollar. It definitely is time for change but time for the Ummah across the Muslim world to take their destiny in their own hands and remove their rulers who will find the US is a little preoccupied with problems at home to be able to provide them protection.
